Course Description
The main goal of the first semester is to help students become aware of the active presence of God in their lives and in the world around them through the sacraments. Students will examine the sacramental nature of daily life, and explore the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. Ultimately, students will understand that Christ can be encountered and experienced today, in a full and real way, through the sacraments.
In the second semester, the course offers a Catholic understanding of morality, centering on Jesus as the model of full humanity. Through the examination of various contemporary moral questions, students will learn how to make sound moral judgements. Students will understand that moral goodness reflects the choice that can help, rather than hurt, themselves and others.
