The Physical Education course content places an emphasis on health and skill related components of fitness. Students will develop knowledge of basic rules, techniques and strategies related to individual and team sports. Students will be introduced to training principles, goal setting and personal fitness program design as it relates to exercise. The course encourages a commitment to lifetime activity and fitness for enjoyment, self expression and social interaction. The Health Education segment of the program is designed to provide information that can serve as a basis for developing the knowledge and attitude necessary for making healthy lifestyle choices.
