Course Description

This class is open to all intermediate and advanced 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade instrumentalists. It is an auditioned-based class. Interpretation, technical advancement on individual instrument, ensemble playing, theory, and history are covered through this course. Music studied in this course ranges from classical to contemporary and popular hits. The ensemble presents concerts year-round. After an audition, students must sign up for the appropriate section according to the instrument played. Assignments and practice outside of class are required.

Prerequisite: An audition is required for entrance to this course
