Course Description

A thematic approach is used to aid students in developing an understanding of basic ecology and exploring the interaction between humankind and the environment. Through fieldwork, individual and group projects, and lab activities, students will examine factors that affect the environment, such as water and air pollution, energy sources, loss of biodiversity, waste disposal, and recycling. An emphasis will be placed on environmental literacy and decision-making.
