Earth Science (Grade 6)

Course Description

Earth Science is a laboratory science course that explores the natural world and introduces science as an investigative process. The course is designed to give all students an overview of common themes in Earth science such as meteorology, geology, astronomy, oceanography, resources, and human impact on the planet. Students experience the content through inquiry-based learning activities that demonstrate scientific explanations about nature. Earth Science provides the knowledge, skills, and habits of mind needed for problem-solving and ethical decision making about scientific and technological issues.
