Course Description 

This course provides a more in-depth examination of the field of music. This courses focuses on the understanding of musical structure and compositional procedures. Emphasis is given to listening skills, particularly those involving melodic perception, harmonic function, and recognition of compositional techniques. This is a structured course in preparation for the Advanced Placement exam each May.
