AP Language & Literature

Course Description 

AP Language & Literature is designed to prepare students to take the Advanced Placement Language and Literature examination. It offers contemporary approaches to literature as an art form and as an expression of diverse voices. The second semester will focus on drama. This course will include writings by women, minority, and non-western authors. Students will be expected to write frequent, short analytical papers on assigned readings that will be selected from various genres. Pre-requisites: all honors/AP classes have grade requirements and need department approval.
