Course Description 

This course, together with Chemistry I Honors, follows the Advanced Placement curriculum recommendations. Topics covered include quantum theory, chemical bonding, and Lewis structures, molecular geometry and hybridization, intermolecular forces and phases of matter, thermochemistry and thermodynamics, solution properties, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, acid-base theory, electrochemistry, and organic chemistry. This course helps students prepare for the SAT Chemistry exam and the Advanced Placement Chemistry exam, which they are required to take in the spring.
