Mount Saint Charles Transportation Options

Mount Saint Charles is closer than you think, and we’re happy to help you find the best way to transport your student to their school. Whether you’re able to use the Statewide Transportation system, local school bus routes, drive yourself, or you opt to use transportation provided by Mount, we’re here to help.

Transportation on Mount buses

Mount Saint Charles Academy runs two morning and afternoon bus routes. The Massachusetts route goes from Bellingham to Mount, with multiple stops in between, and the Rhode Island route starts in Warwick and travels north to the school.

The Rhode Island route includes stops in:

  • Warwick at Chuck E. Cheese
  • Cranston at Veterans’ Memorial Ice Rink
  • Johnston at Johnston Memorial Park
  • Smithfield at Chelo’s in the Apple Valley Mall
  • Lincoln at Dunkin’ on George Washington Highway

The Massachusetts route include stops in

  • Bellingham at the Outback Steakhouse
  • Franklin at Panera Bread
  • Bellingham at Cumberland Farms on Hartford Ave
  • Bellingham at PJ’s Grill
  • Bellingham at Cumberland Farms on Pulaski Blvd

Statewide Transportation Options

From Cumberland, Burrillville, and North Smithfield

The Statewide Transportation System provides transportation based on regions. Mount Saint Charles falls in Region 1 and receives buses from Burrillville, Cumberland, North Smithfield, and Woonsocket. If you have any questions, call 401-304-9136 or email transportationinfo@ride.ri.gov.

Woonsocket Residents

Durham School Services will provide transportation to Woonsocket residents who are the appropriate distance from the school. To request bus transportation for the next school year, contact Durham School Services at (401) 762-3901.

Cumberland Residents

The Cumberland School Department provides transportation to Cumberland residents. To request bus transportation for the next school year, contact the Cumberland School Department.

Burrillville & N. Smithfield Residents

The Statewide Transportation System provides transportation from Burrillville and N. Smithfield.  Residents of these towns can request bus service by filling out this form.

Self-Transportation

Parents can, of course, transport their students to Mount themselves.

Students who choose to drive to and from campus are required to register their automobile during orientation or when students begin to drive to school. Parking spots are assigned on a first come, first served basis, and senior students will be given the first preference of spaces at the start of the school year. All student vehicles must be parked in their respective parking spots, which are numbered, and students must display their permit on their rearview mirrors each day. Student parking is only permitted in these areas, on the far side of the arena, or on Logee Street.
